Concept Korea Debuts at New York Fashion Week

Concept Korea debuted their Spring/Summer 2011collection at New York fashion week. Concept Korea is an initiative started by the Korean ministry of culture, sports and tourism. Its a collaboration of 3 up and coming designers:

Juyoung

Lee Jean Youn

This projects aim is to help Korean designers crack the global market.

The collections ranged from goth rock style menswear to frills and ruffles full of femininity and bright neon coloured almost space like futuristic looking dresses. The crowds were wowed and there was a big buzz surrounding these up and coming designers. Many weren't sure what to expect beforehand because of the fact that this collection of designers was put together by a government ministry but they certainly didn't disappoint. Korean fashion is now on the global map.
