How To Make Candy Chocolate Lollipops

One of my favourite things to do when I'm at home with the kiddies, is to make sweet treats. I have a supremely sweet tooth and of course all kids love anything coated in sugar, so on Saturday we embarked on a bit of chocolate lollipop making and this was the result:

Don't they look yummy? So now I'm going to show you guys how to make them. They take less than half an hour to make and would also be perfect for giving out as gifts.

So first of all gather up your materials. They can all be bought from larger craft stores, I got all mine from hobbycraft. You will need - a bag of Candy Melts in the flavour of your choice or you could just use chocolate broken up into pieces, lollipop wrapping kit which includes sticks, bags and fastening ribbon and lollipop moulds.

002

Put your Candy Melts or chocolate into a microwaveable bowl. Then place in a microwave for 2 minutes but check every 30 seconds or so to prevent overheating, if you leave it too long the candy/chocolate will burn.

003

The candy is ready when it all is of a smooth lump free consistency.

005

Pour the melted candy into the moulds and make sure they're level.

007

Add the sticks into the provided slots and twirl them 360 degrees to ensure they are completely covered in the melted candy.

010

Refrigerate until completely set then pop the lollipops out of their moulds.

011

Wrap the lollies in the lollipop bags and fasten.

Voila! There you have it, easy and really tasty. Let me know if any of you give it a try!

  1. Oh they're adorable! Plus you're right. They are perfect for gift giving. I might have to do this for upcoming birthdays as extra cuteness filler. Thank you!
