Shoes Glorious Shoes–Brown Needn’t Be Boring?

shoes new look

As you all know i’m a shoe buying addict! It’s only been three days since I bought my last pair and I’m already eyeing up my next pair. At the moment I’m loving brown shoes. They have a reputation as boring but I believe if you choose the right pair then brown shoes can be anything but boring. All the shoes below are from UK fashion store New Look. New Look have a great selection of stunning, beautiful brown heels & wedges in a variety of different styles. My favorites are the lace up wedges. They’re very different to anything I own and would be perfect for the coming Autumn/Winter season.

Shoes in a variety of shades of brown were all over the catwalk during the AW2011 fashion weeks. Designers embracing the brown trend included Marc Jacobs, Carven and Anna Sui. Not only is the colour on trend but so are the styles. Lacing is a trend prevalent in the SS2011 trends and its been updated for the AW collections to a less delicate and more hard edged style as demonstrated by Alexander McQueen and Rag and Bone on the catwalk. Fashion trends tend to repeat themselves as is the case with the buckle trend. It's a trend that was popular a few seasons and its been brought back with a vengeance for the coming season. Wedges were seen on the catwalk of D & G and they never seem to be out of fashion and next season is no exception. So New Look really does have all your AW2011 trends taken care of. On trend and affordable, what more could you want?

So which pair is your favourite? What kind of shoes are you craving at the moment?

  1. I'm with you on this one. I love to pair brown or nude shoes with navy blue. Those wedges are fantastic! Love 'em.

  2. Yummy! They're all delicious. My favorite is the platform wedges.

  3. I used to be really wary of brown shoes. Now I think they can be fantastic. I really like the orange-brown lace up booties.

  4. I think I'll buy them all. No seriously, I am capable of that! I love brown shoes and love pairing them with black dresses.
