This Week's FBFF Questions
As regular readers of my blog will know every Friday I participate in Fashion Beauty Friend Friday. This weeks questions are beauty related. You can check out the other entries at ModlyChic's blog (http://modlychic.blogspot.com)
1. The move to do away with soap, shampoo and deodorant has been growing in popularity in the last year. What are your thoughts on this trend?
I personally couldn't live without shampoo, deodorant, shower gel and body wash. I would be completely paranoid about body odour If i gave up my deodorant I would be completely paranoid about my body odour especially during summer. Without shampoo my hair would smell really bad - i'm a smoker so shampoo is a must have product so my hair doesn't smell of cigarettes. I never use soap though because it dries out my skin I usually use a moisturising body wash to retain the softness and a luxury cleanser on my face.
2. Be honest how often do you wash your own hair?
I wash my hair atleast 3 times a week with pantene shampoo and I always use conditioner. I also use an intensive conditioner once a week and a scalp treatment weekly too. I actually enjoy washing my hair and love fancy treatments :)
3. Have you tried to go the more natural route by forgoing shampoo?
Nope I've never tried going without shampoo and I probably never would. I love how my hair feels after I wash it. And I would miss that too much.
4. What products do you use and have you ever gone with more organic alternatives?
I do have some organic bathing products in my bathroom. I'm a big fan of Neals Yard who use natural ingredients and are organic. I use their cleanser and moisturiser daily. It smells lovely, is kind to my skin and gives good results. To be honest don't use it because it's organic I use itbecaue of the results it gives.
5. What about that daily shower? Would you forgo that opting to shower
three times a week instead?
No I don't think three times a week would be enough. After running around all day after three kids use a bath/shower to both get clean and to relax. I enjoy my bathroom routines alot.
