There are very few New Zealand fashion labels on my style radar but there is one that I'm loving and it's Twenty Seven Names.

The label was started back in 2006 by Rachel Easting and Anjali Stewart. The designers came to the label from art and fashion backgrounds so naturally you can see the art influence flowing through their collections.

Their Autumn/Winter collection is entitled 'Still Waters Run Deep' and its their best collection so far. My love for this collection is unsurprising since it's inspired by the Japanese style subculture of the mori girls. Mori basically translates as 'forest'. The look is characterised by loose dresses, pretty prints and vintage jewellery.

The twenty seven names A/W collection embraces simplicity with clean lines and a neutral colour palette with pops of colour. The simplicity aesthetic runs through the collection all the way down to the natual fibres used. My highlights of this collection are the heart prints which were hand designed and their use of combining fabrics and patterns in an almost patchwork manner reminiscent of Michael Van Der Ham's AW collection.

This brand is growing in popularity and in my opinion their cult like status is well deserved.

The collection is available for purchase from asos.com
