Ada Zanditon–Fashion Design with Conscience
If money was no object I would be dressed head to toe in pieces designed by Ada Zanditon. Not only are all her collections breathtakingly beautiful with an immense attention to detail but they are ethically made too. She fuses colours, textures and materials in a way that makes her garments modern, chic and on trend.
Ada Zanditon was formed in 2008 and made her first London Fashion Week presentation in September 09 at Vauxhall Fashion Scout’s “Ones to Watch” show. They were right as this designer is definitely one worth watching. She has since become a regular fixture of LFW appearing in every season since.
She’s developed a first class reputation for herself and is well known due to the stunning aesthetic to her clothing. She is a visionary wonder who designs clothes with conscience. In 2009 she was awarded a mentorship through Esthetica’s mentorship programme and she’s also has been placed in The Observer’s top 50 of the Courvoisier future 500’s.
Her designs are made from a selection of organic and natural fabrics an she utilises ground-breaking ways of reducing her waste and lowering energy consumption. All materials are sourced from ethical suppliers and are dyed using AZO free dyes. For those who don’t know AZO dyes contain cancer causing chemicals.
This is one designer who should be commended for her ethical stance and it goes to show that you can create ethically sourced clothing and still make the clothing extremely beautiful, well structured and luxurious. Other designers could learn a lesson or too from this young designer and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.
