Cool Britannia!–FTF Blog Event 4/6

So this is my first post as part of the Full Time Fabulous community. A community of close knit style bloggers headed by the fabulous Kristy Elena. This months blog event focuses on our heritage and where we are from to show that even though many of us are thousands of miles apart we are still one big community and how our surroundings influence our style.

ftf

I’m very proud to be British, it’s a wonderful country filled with many wonderful people. I’ve lived here all my life and wouldn’t have it any other way.

First of all I'd like to introduce you to my stomping ground, the newish city of Milton Keynes It was previously an amalgamation of villages but about 50 years ago it went under development so now its all one rather large town (most of us who live here class it as a city but as we don’t have a cathedral it’s classed as a town).

Now another place where I spend a lot of time is London. London is a fab city full of stylish, individual people and eclectic styles. You can buy pretty much anything here whether your style is vintage, high street, designer, street wear, ethnic or one of the other multitudes of styles out there. It’s a cosmopolitan multi-cultural city that truly is amazing. There is so much vibrance here and i always leave this place inspired.

  3. Hi, today I feel like a virtual tourist visiting all these places via the blog event of ftf. I was just in san diego and now london. Really liked the outfits because that really shows of london. Been there lots of time and love it! A city you can never be bored and it is so different from your stomming ground. Great to see how someone can feel home at two places, because that is the future like Kristy Elena we are all nomads in a way virtual or not.

  10. Rule Britannia! Oh darling, in my mind I am hopping on a plane to come back to London to see you! I love your post, and you know, I love the UK, my home away from home. The pictures are wonderful and I love that you included British fashionable people! It is not all hair rolls and stuffy jackets with horses hair on them LOL. I adore you, what can I say.

And, your site looks AMAZING! Well done sweets.

  14. What a beautiful little city you live in! I find it so funny that what classifies a city in the U.K. is whether or not it has a cathedral - haha.

  15. Gorgeous! England is a place I've always wanted to go but never had the chance to yet. My grandma is British through and through and has told me many many stories- she was in the Land army in WW2, and worked at Cadbury! and my Dad lived there for years in high school. I love your pictures- they're all so fabulous, and really make me want to visit- you town city looks AMAZING.

  16. This is beautiful! I'm loving this event and how we get to take a peak into the life and culture of each blogger. I wish I'd had more to contribute about where I live, but I only recently moved here and don't have much interesting to say! Haha.

Your town looks so charming. I've always wanted to visit England and some of the quaint places outside of the bigger cities. (I guess it's the Jane Austen fan in me...) Lovely post!

  37. I always thought MK was a city as well, strange. I also thought it was based on the american kind of style of city so straight roads with blocks like you get in the US? Love London I want to go back there every time I've visited it's always been for the briefest of moments.

  39. I looooove London!! LOVE some of my dearest friends are there and I miss them and that crazy city. I think British fashion might be my fave, it's...there's so much boldness and like real definitions of style. It's total eye candy.

I have never been to Milton Keyes!- Next time I'm in the UK I'll need to head there, you make it look gorgeous. Thanks for sharing your hood! Wonderful job!

  40. Oh, I agree, England is absolutely fabulous. My dad was born and raised there and my sister lives there now. You'll laugh but every time I visit my first thought is how OLD (and therefore beautiful) everything is. It's a silly North American-ism. And London! You need no agenda to enjoy this fair city which may be the best in the world! Just walk outside and the city will take you where you need to go. It's amazing!
