I love makeup!

When I originally started this blog it was to share my passion for fashion and my love of beauty but the beauty side has fallen by the wayside and fashion has dominated my blog but I'm keen to rectify that. So from this moment on I'll be doing at least one beauty post weekly.
This week I'd like to introduce you to Lime Crime Makeup. I discovered this brand recently and I love it. I'm a girly girl at heart and although natural toned down makeup is nice I'm also a huge fan of brightly coloured makeup and with spring approaching now is the time to wear it. This collection is the brainchild of a fellow blogger too.



The collection comprises of brightly coloured eye dusts and lipsticks spanning all the colours of the rainbow. My particular faves are the lipsticks in the picture above. They are such gorgeous shades but for all you shrinking violets they do more muted shades too. Take a look.

Shu Uemura/Aya Takano Collaboration

Japanese makeup/skincare brand is well known for their brilliant collaborations but in my humble opinion they've really outdone themselves this time. Their newest one is called abracadbra fantasy.

They have collaborated with well known Japanese artist Aya Takano. An artist who mixes science fiction and Manga and adds a touch of sensualism to great effect. In her collection with shu uemura she has created vibrant, colourful little art pieces which are truly eye catching in gorgeous shades.

The collection includes eye palettes, lip tints and glosses, brushes and their world renowned cleansing oil. This collection is at the top of my christmas list.

Japanese Make up Brands I Love

I adore japanese make up. I think the look and the quality of it is far superior to the western brands. Its not cheap though but the quality more than makes up for it.

Jill Stuart

Most famous for her clothing line she also does a makeup range. She is actually american but her makeup range is exclusive to asia. Its especially good for her super girly eyeshadow palettes in pastel colours.

Kate

Kate is budget brand made by Kanebo.

MAQUillage

MAQUillage is a mid-end brand made by Shiseid aimed at women 30+

RMK

RMK is a high-end brand so has prices to match but their products are of superb quality. Like they say – you get what you pay for.

Dolly Wink

A range created by tsubasa masauwaka. Especially good for fake lashes and liquid eyeliner

Eyeko

This is actually a london based brand but the packaging is very kawaii and japanese influenced

I love discovering new make-up products. My bedroom has a big collection of make up and its forever growing. At this time of year the big make up houses launch their autumn/winter collections. So here I've done a quick round up of the products that have me most excited.

 

Clinique Eye Bright Collection

 

 

Clinique’s genius new autumn colour collection is proven to ‘brighten and intensify eyes whatever your shade or shape.’

It includes the limited edition mascara which is clinically proven to make eyes appear three times brighter, due to a blue tint in the formula which counteracts the yellow in the whites of the eyes and makes them appear whiter than usual.

Perfect for those suffering from a hangover with work the next day. Awesome.

 

M.A.C Nail Lacquer

 

 

Revolutionary new high gloss formulas. Three longwearing finishes - Cream, Sheer and Frosted. Provides a no-streak/no-chip finish. Contains conditioners and UV protection. This is definitely on my shopping list.
