What A Beauty - Frankie Diary 2012

I've had my eye on the Frankie diaries for a while now and today mine finally arrived. I'm a long time reader of the magazine as it is so beautiful so I knew I wouldn't be disappointed and I was right.

The cloth bound cover ticks all the right boxes for me and inside it is even more beautiful. There's section for everything inside including birthdays, to do lists and even calling cards. Frankie always work with an illustrator on the diaries so they are extra beautiful. I love that they even have an illustration at the back to depict the time worldwide.

I believe they're sold out now but head on over to Carrie's blog to win one as well as other goodies in her Xmas giveaway!

Kawaii Goodness - Chicki.co.uk

Kawaii is a popular subculture from Japan which literally translates to 'cute'. Hello Kitty could be classed as cute but kawaii is used to describe a wide variety of items. Finding kawaii clothing, jewellery & stationery in the UK can be a bit of a challenge. But I've found the answer to mine and other kawaii lovers prayers. Chicki is a UK based online store dedicated to kawaii. It not only sells tonnes of kawaii goodness but they also sell those cultish Blythe dolls. My fave discovery on the site is the amazing clothing brand Tokidoki. I've been a massive fan of this brand for a long time but haven't seen it on sale in the UK until now. I've picked out a few of my favorite items from the site below (by the way the items that looks like Japanese momiji dolls are actually erasers
- incredible!)

For more kawaii goodness visit the Chicki website.

I have a confession to make – I’m a cute stationery addict. I currently own about 6 different notebooks with cute designs on the front but I think I’ll soon be adding to the collection. My favourite jewellery site Temporary Secretary has just added kawaii stationery to its range. The collection includes letter writing sets, envelopes and notebooks.

So Kawaii–Jewellery Good Enough to Eat

As my regular readers will remember I recently posted about my night at the launch of Amelias Compendium of Fashion Illustration where I spoke about meeting a jewellery designer called Maxine Johnston who designs super cute Japanese style jewellery for her online store Little Miss Delicious. I was immediately captivated by her blue hair and awesome jewellery and she was super nice too despite my bumbling manner lol.

Well let me introduce you to her super kawaii (cute) jewellery. As soon as I saw her items I was delighted as they are so japanese flavored. She makes all the jewellery herself and its reasonably priced. She also makes felt accessories and lovely floor cushions.

Here’s just a small selection of her jewellery:

Doesn't it look good enough to eat?

Recent-ish Buys & Olivia Rubin Giveaway

Hey guys. This week has been great i've almost reached my target weight of 75kilos. I used to be 60 and now im 70 so i've just 5 more kilos to go. It may seem strange wanting to gain weight and not lose it ut I was very tall and very skinny and heroine chic isn't a look that I want. I'm almost 6ft so 75kg is a good target weight :)

Now I just need to firm up my stomach area and i'll be a happy bunny. I've also cut my hair short and i'm very happy with it. I have a fondness for short hair as its easy to manage and doesn't take forever to dry.

I haven't showed off any purchases for ages so I thought i'd share some of my recent purchases with you :)
