Hime Gyaru Accessories Tutorial

Hey guys! as you know accessories are a vital part of the hime gyaru look. So  wanted to do a few tutorials on some of my recent accessories projects. I love crafting i find its a lot of fun and a way of getting the hime gyaru look on a budget. I was lucky enough to receive craft supplies for my birthday back in May and i certainly put them to good use. In the future I'll probably upload pics of me wearing these lovely accessories. Lets get started.

Rose Headband

What You Need:

Gold headband
Paper roses
Wired pearls
Glue gun
Glue sticks

How to make

Bind 3 wired pearl picks to the tiara at equal distances apart.
Cut the wire stems off the paper roses, and glue to the tiara using a hot melt glue gun. Its as simple as that even an idiot like me can do it. Lol!

Pearl Bracelet

Measure and cut a length of beading wire, and tie one half of the clasp to one end.
Thread the pearl beads on to the wire.
Attach the other half of the clasp to the end of the string of pearls.
Finish off with a brown organza bow tied to the bracelet.

Rose hairslide

Black and white feathers

What You Need:

Sable velvet ribbon
Round clear faceted stone
Press studs
PVA craft glue
Needle and thread

How to make

Create a running stitch along the bottom of the ribbon.
Pull to create a rosette, and stitch to hold.
Glue a stone into the centre of the rosette.
To attach the rosette to the shoe, glue or stitch one part of press stud to the back of the rosette and the other to the shoe.

Butterfly headband

What You Need:

Headband
15mm cream satin ribbon
Gold butterflies
Gold leaves
Small cream satin heart
Stick-on stone
Hot melt glue gun
Glue sticks

How to make

Using a hot melt glue gun, stick 3 small gold butterflies over the headband leaving a wide space between each.
Glue 4 small gold leaves in between 2 butterflies, then add a satin heart and stick-on stone. Repeat on the other side.

I hope you like because it took me a lot of time and effort. Any questions jus let me know :)

Hime Gyaru Hair and Make up tutorial

Hey guys so it seems that a lot of people are interested in how to do hime gyaru hair and make up so i thought I'd do both a hair and a make up tutorial.

Make up tutorial

Moisturize.

Apply a light concealer.

Blend this into your skin . 1 layer or 2 should do

Apply a translucent powder if your skin is naturally clear and smooth. If not apply a powder the same shade or 1 step lighter then your concealer. Once you’ve done matting your face, apply a light shimmer power or translucent shimmer over your forehead, cheeks, chin and nose, maybe under your eyes if they seem dull.

Take an eyebrow brush and eyebrow pencil in a similar colour to your hair colour lightly sweep your pencil over your eyes and make an arch you like, use it until the colour in your eyebrows are blended, light and uniform. This also helps take away excess make-up.

Use a volumizing or lengthening mascara, apply several coats of this until your eyelashes are visible above your brow bone, if there are clumps, use the tooth comb on your eyebrow brush and comb through until there are no clumps.

line your eyes do it VERY thinly, try not to use too much liquid eyeliner, .Stay close to your eyelash line.VERY THIN. and flick it out at the outside corners of your eyes.

Sweep over your eyelids a nice soft pink, soft brown, optimally you can use both

Use a light pink, dusty rose on your cheeks.Smile very big and sweep these over the apples of your cheeks up to your temple. Don't over blush

Choose a very pale pink lipstick, put this on,and over top put a light bronze put a very light layer over the top of your lips, this will make your face shimmer.

Wash, condition. Blow dry straight, PIN STRAIT. Tease the roots with a teasing comb, not the hair that shows, for example your natural part. Tease under your parting, about 1 1/2 inches under your parting, you want a sleek look on top.

Tease the back following the same rules as your parting. If you’re having trouble seeing the back of your hair. Have a friend hold a mirror behind you while you’re facing another mirror or have her do it. Use some aerosol hair spray over the top of your hair liberally. Blow dry the top on low, so it gets stiff

So you have your hair height. pin up the top sections, put in some bobby pins without disturbing the hold, the longer hair you wanna use a curling iron on. Put some gel into the ends of your hair and work through. Once you’ve done this take a 1 1/2 -2 1/2 inch curling iron and curl each 1 1/2 inch piece clockwise. Hold in your hair for a minute on each strand.
do this till all the hair at the bottom is in uniform curls.

So curls are done. HAIR SPRAY LIBERALLY and wait for them to dry.
grab some clear bobby pins or black if you have fancy lacy hair pins and accessories. So, remember how i said clip back the hair from your ears up. Take that hair and pin back to about the middle or your hair, before you do this, tease again whatever you didn't curl, tease and tease until you have height. so there you have height, sweep your hair back to that point and cover the teased hair with the smooth strait hair you’ve left unitised. use your fingers while looking in a mirror to create a high bouffant, once you found a place that is comfortable and looks decent, pin down with bobby pins. If you’ve done this correctly, your hair should be high, the ends curled .If you have fringe, sweep it to the side and hair spray, if its long, use a bobby pin to to keep it in place.

So there you have it guys – a himegyaru hair and make up tutorial. What tutorials would you guys like in the future?

Yummy and oh so cute!!!

Hey guys. So i had a lovely day yesterday for my sons birthday. He got many awesome gifts and was a very happy chappy. We had a lush dinner at my sisters where he was smiling constantly and had a lot of laughs. As part of his birthday i made these cute little cakes.

cupcakes

So i thought I'd share the recipe with you. Its very simple to make and so delicious and girly.

Ingredients and Equipment

Cupcake recipe of your choice
400g fondant icing
Yellow, pink, purple and green food colouring
250g unsalted butter
250g icing sugar
2tbsp strawberry jam
Cake decorations
Flower, heart and leaf cutters
Piping bag

Instructions

Bake cupcakes and allow to cool.

Split fondant icing into four pieces and knead to mix with the four different food colourings.

Dust a surface with icing sugar, roll out fondant icing 2mm thick, then use a flower shaped cookie cutter to cut out the shapes.

Mix the butter, icing sugar, jam, salt and pink colouring using an electric mixer to make butter cream icing. Pipe on the centre of the flower shape.

Create shapes with heart and leaf cutters (score leaf marks with a knife) and stick into icing when dry.

Add ready-made cake decorations on top.

And there u have it. easy peasy so I'm interested to know guys what you’d like tutorials on next :)

Till next time

Violet’s nails - review :)

Hey there. So today i received my nails from Violet in the post. So exciting!

Packaging

They were wrapped in lovely material and came fixed to a pretty material covered board. I love the way she stores them. Usually they are sold in ugly plastic packaging and they all fall out when you try to prise them out so Violets way is much more practical and a whole lot prettier.

vinail2

Appearance

I've bought nails online before and found  that they didn't look like they did in the photo so i was pleasantly surprised when they arrived because they were exactly like the photo. The nail varnish used had a lovely shimmer to it and it had cute little love hearts on them as well as little painted desserts. The chocolate dripping over the tips is a lovely finishing touch.

Usability

These nails are super practical for a busy mum like me. The length is perfect long enough to look pretty but short enough for me to be able to pick up my 2 year old son without my nails scratching him. I thought the heart gems would catch on clothing etc but surprisingly they don’t.

Price

The ones i purchased amounted to about £10 which is very reasonable. In the uk it costs about that to get plain ones so i was very happy with the price especially as it includes shipping.

Durability

Well so far I've worn them while washing the dishes, having a bath, cleaning and chasing after the kids and they are still in perfect condition and they didn't come off so i would say they’re pretty durable.

So in conclusion i would say these nails are a winner. Affordable and beautiful and shipped quickly. What more could you want in a set of nails. I’ll be ordering more very soon. i would definitely recommend giving her site a visit to see what you fancy. And her blog is deffo worth a visit for any hime gyaru.

My first review. wahey:)
