Moisturize.

Apply a light concealer.

Blend this into your skin . 1 layer or 2 should do

Apply a translucent powder if your skin is naturally clear and smooth. If not apply a powder the same shade or 1 step lighter then your concealer. Once you’ve done matting your face, apply a light shimmer power or translucent shimmer over your forehead, cheeks, chin and nose, maybe under your eyes if they seem dull.

Take an eyebrow brush and eyebrow pencil in a similar colour to your hair colour lightly sweep your pencil over your eyes and make an arch you like, use it until the colour in your eyebrows are blended, light and uniform. This also helps take away excess make-up.

Use a volumizing or lengthening mascara, apply several coats of this until your eyelashes are visible above your brow bone, if there are clumps, use the tooth comb on your eyebrow brush and comb through until there are no clumps.

line your eyes do it VERY thinly, try not to use too much liquid eyeliner, .Stay close to your eyelash line.VERY THIN. and flick it out at the outside corners of your eyes.

Sweep over your eyelids a nice soft pink, soft brown, optimally you can use both

Use a light pink, dusty rose on your cheeks.Smile very big and sweep these over the apples of your cheeks up to your temple. Don't over blush

Choose a very pale pink lipstick, put this on,and over top put a light bronze put a very light layer over the top of your lips, this will make your face shimmer.

Wash, condition. Blow dry straight, PIN STRAIT. Tease the roots with a teasing comb, not the hair that shows, for example your natural part. Tease under your parting, about 1 1/2 inches under your parting, you want a sleek look on top.

Tease the back following the same rules as your parting. If you’re having trouble seeing the back of your hair. Have a friend hold a mirror behind you while you’re facing another mirror or have her do it. Use some aerosol hair spray over the top of your hair liberally. Blow dry the top on low, so it gets stiff

So you have your hair height. pin up the top sections, put in some bobby pins without disturbing the hold, the longer hair you wanna use a curling iron on. Put some gel into the ends of your hair and work through. Once you’ve done this take a 1 1/2 -2 1/2 inch curling iron and curl each 1 1/2 inch piece clockwise. Hold in your hair for a minute on each strand.
do this till all the hair at the bottom is in uniform curls.

So curls are done. HAIR SPRAY LIBERALLY and wait for them to dry.
grab some clear bobby pins or black if you have fancy lacy hair pins and accessories. So, remember how i said clip back the hair from your ears up. Take that hair and pin back to about the middle or your hair, before you do this, tease again whatever you didn't curl, tease and tease until you have height. so there you have height, sweep your hair back to that point and cover the teased hair with the smooth strait hair you’ve left unitised. use your fingers while looking in a mirror to create a high bouffant, once you found a place that is comfortable and looks decent, pin down with bobby pins. If you’ve done this correctly, your hair should be high, the ends curled .If you have fringe, sweep it to the side and hair spray, if its long, use a bobby pin to to keep it in place.

So there you have it guys – a himegyaru hair and make up tutorial. What tutorials would you guys like in the future?

Violet’s nails - review :)

Hey there. So today i received my nails from Violet in the post. So exciting!

Packaging

They were wrapped in lovely material and came fixed to a pretty material covered board. I love the way she stores them. Usually they are sold in ugly plastic packaging and they all fall out when you try to prise them out so Violets way is much more practical and a whole lot prettier.

Appearance

I've bought nails online before and found  that they didn't look like they did in the photo so i was pleasantly surprised when they arrived because they were exactly like the photo. The nail varnish used had a lovely shimmer to it and it had cute little love hearts on them as well as little painted desserts. The chocolate dripping over the tips is a lovely finishing touch.

Usability

These nails are super practical for a busy mum like me. The length is perfect long enough to look pretty but short enough for me to be able to pick up my 2 year old son without my nails scratching him. I thought the heart gems would catch on clothing etc but surprisingly they don’t.

Price

The ones i purchased amounted to about £10 which is very reasonable. In the uk it costs about that to get plain ones so i was very happy with the price especially as it includes shipping.

Durability

Well so far I've worn them while washing the dishes, having a bath, cleaning and chasing after the kids and they are still in perfect condition and they didn't come off so i would say they’re pretty durable.

So in conclusion i would say these nails are a winner. Affordable and beautiful and shipped quickly. What more could you want in a set of nails. I’ll be ordering more very soon. i would definitely recommend giving her site a visit to see what you fancy. And her blog is deffo worth a visit for any hime gyaru.

Order the nails at www.violetlebeaux.com/store

Visit her blog at www.violetlebeaux.com

My first review. wahey:)

Till next time

Circle lenses!!

m
Hey guys thought i would do a detailed guide to circle lenses for you lot.
including caring for them and inserting them.

circ
A circle lens is a special contact lens that makes the eye's iris appear larger; this product was originally invented in South Korea. The contact lenses are generally used to give a larger doll like appearance to the eyes.
Design
Circle contacts have the colour covering a majority of the contact, causing the colour to go beyond the iris thus, the appearance of a larger iris. It comes in a variety of colours, and effects. The diameter of the lens is on average 14 mm (more than 2 mm longer than the average iris diameter) but you can also get 14.8mm ones. The lenses themselves range from natural-looking colours to special manga type effects.
The lenses are popular among Asian teenagers and adults. The lenses create an illusion of doll-like, large eyes. Many people consider circle lenses as a fashion accessory rather than medical devices. They are used to create a look of anime characters. They are also used to create the Ulzzang look, which is characterized by large eyes, small noses and fair skin.
Popularity
As of 2009, circle contact lenses are almost exclusively used in East Asian nations such as South Korea, Japan, Singapore, and Hong Kong and at the present time are not well-known to the general public in other nations. Circle contact lenses were originally used solely by Korean celebrities before sold as a product available to the general population in East Asian nations. Now, they are also commonly used by other East Asian celebrities such as Angela Chang and Ayumi Hamasaki who are known for their wide-eyed doll-like image.
In Asia, circle lenses can be bought in stores. They can be purchased without a prescription. Currently this product is not yet sold in store shelves in western nations and can only be purchased online. Due to recent endorsements by celebrities, circle contact lenses are rising in popularity on Asian internet forums and shopper's blogs dedicated to beauty and cosmetics.

How to Open Vial Bottle

conta
This photo clearly show you the correct way to open your new colour lens bottle.
Instruction for Use

Never wear lenses longer than 8 hours
Do not use the lens if the sterile package has been opened or the tamper evident seal is damaged.
Preparing for Insertion
Cleanliness is the most important aspect of proper contact lens care. Establish a routine of good hygiene for handling your lenses.
Always wash your hands thoroughly with a mild soap, rinse carefully and dry before touching your lenses.
Do not use oily cosmetics, soap contain cold cream, lotions or creams before handling your lenses.  It is best to insert your lenses before putting on makeup.
Keep your eyes closed when using hairspray or other aerosols. Seek professional advice about wearing lenses during sporting activities.
Always follow the instructions in this leaflet and any advice given to you by your Eye Care Practitioner for the correct handling, insertion, removal, cleaning, disinfecting, storing, and use of your lenses.
Insertion of Color Lens
To avoid mix-ups, develop the habit of always inserting the first lens in your right eye. Before inserting the lens, check to see it is free of any nicks or tears. If it appears damaged, throw it away. Check the lens has not turned inside out. Place the lens on the tip of your forefinger and hold above eye level; you are looking at the bowl of the lens from the outside.
Remember to start with your right eye. Once the lens has been examined and you are sure it is not inside out, place it on the tip of your forefinger.
Place the middle finger of the same hand close to your lower eyelashes and pull down the lower lid.
Use the forefinger or middle finger of the other hand to lift the upper lid and place the lens on the eye.
Gently release both lids and blink.
Repeat these steps for the left lens.
There are other methods of lens placement. If the above method is difficult for you, your Eye Care Practitioner can provide an alternative.
Usually, the lens centers itself automatically on the middle of your eye when you insert it and will very rarely be displaced on to the white of your eye during wear.
However, this can occur if insertion and removal are not performed properly. To center a lens, follow either of these methods.
Close your eyelids and gently massage the lens into place through the close lid.
Or, gently manipulate the off-centered lens onto the middle of your eye while the eye is opened using finger pressure on the edge of the upper or lower lid.
If your vision is blurred after inserting the lens, check for the following:
Cosmetics or oils on the lens, remove it and wear again
The lens may be on the wrong eye
The lens may be inside out, which also make it less comfortable than normal
The lens may not be centered on the eye. Check the instruction above.
If the lens is in the correct position, remove it and look for the following:
Inserting the color lens, key points to remember:
GENTLY placing the lens on the eye will work. It does not get pressed, shoved, or pushed on.
Keep your eyes wide open; a lens cannot go on through your lids.
Have the lens completely balanced with all edges off your finger. If the lens gets knocked over, it will not easily release from your finger.
Removal of Color Lens
Always remove the same lens first.
Wash, rinse and dry your hands thoroughly. Always ensure that the lens is on the middle of your eye before attempting to remove it. If your eye feels really dry, insert a couple of rewetting drops to lubricate your lens before trying to take it out. To locate the lens, inspect the upper area of the eye by looking down into a mirror while pulling the upper lid up. Then inspect the lower area by pulling the lower lid down.
Once you have found the lens, you can remove it by using the Pinch Method introduced below or any other method recommended by your Eye Care Practitioner.
Look up; slide the lens down to the white of your eye using your forefinger.
Gently pinch the lens between your thumb and forefinger and remove the lens.

circ2
Caring for Color Lens and Lens Case
For the continued safe and comfortable use of your lenses, it is important to follow the instructions given to you by your circle lens vendor.
Failure to follow the correct lens care regime may result in the development of serious eye problems.
Cleaning and rising are essential to remove mucus, secretions, and deposits which may have accumulated during use. Do this immediately after removing your lenses and prior to disinfection. Harmful germs can only be removed by cleaning, rising and disinfecting.
Use fresh, unexpired lens care solutions.
Never use solutions recommended for conventional hard lenses only.
Never put your lenses in your mouth or use anything other than the recommended solutions for lubricating or wetting your lenses.
Never rinse them in tap water, since this can contain many impurities that can contaminate or damage your lenses and may lead to eye infection or injury.
Put each lens into the correct chamber of the lens storage system and make sure they are completely immersed in the storage solution when they are being worn. If lenses left out for long periods, they may dry out and become brittle.
Seek the advice of your Eye Care Practitioner if your lenses are to be stored for extended periods.
Since lens cases can be a source of bacteria, after use they should be emptied, cleaned, and rinsed with recommended sterile solutions and allowed to air dry.
Your lens case should also be replaced regularly, as advised by the lens case manufacturer or your Eye Care Practitioner.
Never use tap water to rinse your lens case.
Safety Check
You should remove your lens immediately if you experience any of the following problems:
Itching, burning or stinging of the eye
A feeling of something in your eye
Excessive watering, unusual eye secretions or redness
Blurred vision, rainbows or holes around objects. Dry eye may occur if your lenses are worn continuously or for too long.
The lens feels less comfortable than it did when it was first inserted.
If the discomfort or problem stops when you are take out the lens, you should examine it closely for damage, dirt or a foreign body.
If the problem continues, consult your optician immediately.
Any of the symptoms above can indicate a serious condition such as infection or corneal ulcer. Prompt diagnosis and treatment is essential to avoid serious damage to your eyes.
Remember that symptoms are warning signs. If in doubt, take them out.
When wearing Colour Contact Lenses, you may notice temporary differences in your vision due to the presence of the colour in your lenses, especially in conditions of low light, if these differences in vision persist, it is important  that you consult your Eye Care Practitioner.
Never allow anyone else to wear your lenses. They have been prescribed to fit your eyes and to correct your vision to the degree necessary. Sharing lenses greatly increases the chances of eye infections.
When the replacement period prescribed by your Eye Care Practitioner is over, your lenses should be discarded and replaced with a new sterile pair.
Hope that helps holls!

i love japanese fashion magazines :-)

Konnichiwa!! Hey guys. how are you all?Well as usual i've been shopping again I ordered some kawaii paper, memo sheets, letter sets etc its all so cute. Ebay is a godsend. I also ordered some circle lenses from tokyo toys (http://www.tokyotoys.com/). Can't wait till they arrive.  I'll do a review once i've tried them out :) I also ordered Ageha from the Japan centre i love Japanese magzines of al different types. I love looking at all types of Japanese fashions even the ones with fashion that i would never wear. So today i thought i'd give you an insight into some of the most popular ones:)

So here goes

The first one i'm going to examine is Kera. This is one of the most popula magazines in Japan. It looks at real people on the street in all different kinds of styles. Some real fashion leading people off the street in all manners of different styles. Creativity is the key. It also provides make up tutorials as well as film and music news and examining the style of celebrities.

As you can probably tell by the front cover this magazine covers gyaru style mostly gangura. It has been very important in the rise of the ganguro movement. The current version of the magazine shows a more toned down version of ganguro. It covers make up tutorials, fashion and covers every aspect of ganguro.

Gothic lolita bible focuses on the different subcultures within lolita. Advising how to ormulate a good lolita outfit complete with sections on accessories, bags and shoes. And shows pics of real girls wearing Lolita on the streets are at huge Tokyo club nights.

And now to my favorit of the bunch.

AGEHA

This magazine is fab and oh so pretty. It focuses on hime fashion. Yay!! It shows various different type of hime hair. Every page is sparkly and princess like and it features fashion and make up and a section on caring for wigs unusually. The hair tutorials are amazing and you dont even need to be able to read japanese as every step has a photo attached and they do the same for the make up tutorials :)

So there you have it :) the world of Japanese fashion mags.

Now im off to the land of nod its 11.30 pm and very hot so i'm seriously tired. Nite nite!

Hey :-)

Konichiwa! how are you all? so i have been very busy past few days crafting and shopping. first task i completed was decoden on my hello kitty mp3 player by giving it a diamante trim and fixing bows to the headphones. super cute. i also followed one of the delightful violet lebeaux tutorials and made myself a hime hair bow. very simple and very cute. expect photos of me wearing it very soon. i also made myself some beautiful boxes for storing my jewellery, cosmetics and hair accessories. i bought some super sweet sticky backed paper from hobbycraft that was on sale for 29p a roll. then used it to cover some old boxes a flurry of ribbon and bows transforms them into something pretty and way cheaper than going out and buying new boxes:) now for the shopping. i bought some pastel coloured earrings, a bow necklace, a bow headband, a flower headband, a ring with a huge flower on it. some doll eyes supplies - fake lashes which were just a pound from internacionale. also some black and white eyeshadow. so lots of gorgeous things and today i designed and decorated some sumptuous 3d nails. pink with silver tips covered in jewels and pearls. so so lush can't wait to wear them. and i also spruced up a pair of pumps by fixing ribbon to the edge of the shoes and attaching bows to the toe area. well that's what i've been up to. till next time. mwah!

How to do hime gyaru

uk beauty blog hime gyaru

Buy dresses. The more girly the better. 50s style dresses are very popular especially those with the bell skirts. Petticoats are a must. The look is all about looking sweet and innocent like a princess. a floral dress is a good starting point.

Hime gyarus always wear make up but its quite a simple look. All that is needed is foundation black liquid eyeliner, mascara, false lashes, circle lenses and a pink lipgloss.

Shoes should be girly so anything pink or pastel coloured. Or footwear with bows flowers, leopard print etc. Flats can be worn but heels are generally preferred. And dolly shoes are very popular.

Hair acessories should always be worn. Flowers and big bows are the norm. But anything girly or princess like can be worn. Tiaras are acceptable as long as they're not too big.

Nail should be decorated in pastels or pink and decorated with flowers bows or embellishment. For the more adventurous girls 3d nails can be worn.
